Ruto regime excesses is Kenyans’ problem, not Raila’s

Do not wait for Raila to tell you to do maandamano. Raila does not have children to feed, he is not the one suffering. It is you who is going to live in abject poverty or lose your job who needs to stop Ruto before he takes food out of your daughter or son's mouth.

Who is the enemy of the welfare of the people of Kenya? It is the ruling class headed by President William Ruto, his Ministers (Cabinet Secretaries), the MPs who have decided that they will represent President Ruto and not the people of Kenya.

The ruling class in Kenya consumes nearly 90%. They waste the money, our taxes, our sweat in State House luncheons, entertainment, travels all over the world to the tune of billions. KSh8.5 billion is spent in State House on a daily basis. Doing what?

MPs consume KSh36 billion a year. Then they do not deliver for us. The National Assembly particularly was intimidated and threatened  by the President to give him and the executive the laws and permission he needs to kill our economy.

Who do these MPs represent? How do they oversight an executive which dictates to them what they will do? Do we need the National Assembly at all?

Senators recently decided to cut the money going to counties by a huge KSh23 billion to reduce it from KSh408 as allocated by the CRA to KSh385.

Then we have 47 county governments with a staff of nearly 150k people. Ministries have thousands upon thousands of directors, assistant directors, principal senior assistant directors, etc.

Then there is duplication of the county government staff and the Provincial administration these days called the NGAO staff across the country.

All these people are aiding the top men in parliament and in the executive to loot and enrich themselves.

In the meantime, the middle staff award themselves allowances, per diem, travel, site visits – a lot of nonsense that then they write in reports that do not move Kenya forward.

Meanwhile the total investment in building railways, research institutions, in technical institutions, in research, in medical care in programs that equip the youth for the innovating and enterprising, managing, leading etc is very very small. Almost 9% of all the taxes.

The government then goes into borrowing, borrowing to build roads at four times the cost. Meanwhile countries like Tanzania are investing their taxes in building roads and railways and airports and hospitals and markets- their taxes, not borrowed money.

The ruling class is the problem and is the enemy of our progress.

Say no to Ruto’s overtaxation and wasteful spending in budgeted corruption deals.

Demand for a forensic audit of our madeni – who do we owe? How much do we owe them? What were the terms of the loan? What was the project the money was coming to do? Was the project done with that money or more borrowing was done to do the same project etc?

Jimmy Wanjigi, Senator Okiya Omtatah Okoiti are basically telling us what Mwalimu Mati told us in 2009 as MARS Group that over 70% of our debt is odious.

Do not wait for Raila to tell you to do maandamano. Raila does not have children to feed, he is not the one suffering. It is you who is going to live in abject poverty or lose your job who needs to stop Ruto before he takes food out of your daughter or son’s mouth.

Ruto’s saboteur policies are not Raila’s problem. They are our problem. Our businesses will be destroyed, and we will lose jobs, we will be unable to save any money, we will be unable to take our children to school.

We will be unable to care for our parents (for those still with parents) and our relatives.
