Jacques Tuyisenge: Rwandan forward unveiled by Petro Atletico

It’s all systems go after former Gor Mahia striker Jacques Tuyisenge was unveiled on Wednesday by Angola soccer giants Petro Atletico, the player assuring his new suitors he will deliver goals.

Tuyisenge, 27, said he was delighted to join a club with a rich history and promised to pick up from where he left with his former club Gor Mahia.

“I am leaving Gor Mahia with a clean heart. I served them well with all my heart and soul. I promise to extend my fighting spirit to this great club which has a rich history in the region. What we need is to believe in ourselves but remember God in all our undertakings in order to achieve. Nothing comes on a silver platter,” he said

Tuyisenge arrived at Gor Mahia in a KSh4million-deal from Rwandese side Police FC in 2016 and impressed the Angolan outfit when he played against them at this year’s CAF Confederations Cup, scoring the goal that knocked them out and took Gor to the quarter finals.

Gor have reportedly pocketed KSh15 million in the deal, which brings to an end the attacker’s four-year stint at the Kenyan top club.

He scored 64 times in 129 appearances (96 in the league and 33 in other competitions).

Tuyisenge scored eight goals last season to help K’Ogalo win the SportPesa Premier League title for an unprecedented 18th time.

He might be replaced by Rayon Sports hitman Jules Ulimwengu from Rayon Sports, who is reported to have completed transfer talks with Gor Mahia.

Ulimwengu has been featuring for Rayon Sports in the on-going Kagame Cecafa tournament in Rwanda.

The Burundian has 18 months remaining in his contract with the Rwanda top side.
