Students sponsored by the German Language program at Tom Mboya University are now more confident than ever in their pursuit of a career in Germany.
This thanks to an insightful training session led by experts from inLEGAS, a licensed ÖSD Examination Centre. The session, designed to help students prepare for the upcoming B1 exams, provided invaluable insights and tools to help them succeed.
“The session was incredibly helpful,” said Mary Nyambura, a German Language student. “Before this, I felt a bit lost on how to approach the B1 exam. Now, I feel much more prepared and confident. This training has given me the tools to excel.”
The training was organized by the university’s German Language program in partnership with inLEGAS, the official partner for the certification of German language skills in Kenya. inLEGAS is recognized for providing high-quality language assessments, including the ÖSD (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch) exams, which are required for those seeking employment in German-speaking countries.
“This partnership with Tom Mboya University is crucial to providing the students with the necessary skills to excel in the B1 exams,” said Dr. Joseph Wanjala, an expert trainer with inLEGAS.
“We are proud to contribute to their journey, offering both guidance and preparation for success. These students are truly on their way to becoming future professionals in Germany.”
The workshop covered key aspects of the B1 exam, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through interactive activities and practice exams, students were able to familiarize themselves with the format and content of the upcoming test.
Tom Mboya University’s German Language program has long been a stepping stone for students seeking to enhance their language proficiency and further their careers abroad. With the support of inLEGAS, these students are now better equipped to face the B1 exams with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
“Learning the German language is not just about passing exams,” said Prof. Charles Ochieng, Dean of the Faculty of Languages at Tom Mboya University.
“It’s about opening doors to new opportunities and empowering students to build a future for themselves in Germany. We’re grateful for the expert guidance and resources provided by inLEGAS, which will no doubt benefit these future professionals.”
The success of this training session marks an exciting milestone for the students, who are now poised to take the next step toward their dreams of working in Germany. With the B1 exam on the horizon, they are more prepared than ever to succeed.
