Shujaa boost as ‘Chukua Selfie’ takes over shirt sponsorship

Chukua Selfie Brand, a menstar coalition campaign firm, has signed a KSh14 million partnership with the Kenya Sevens Rugby team for the remainder of the World Series season.

The firm targets 18-24 year old men to know their HIV status through self-test and now becomes the official shirt sponsor for the team.

The deal will see Chukua Selfie sponsor the Hong Kong/Singapore legs this month and London/Paris legs next month.

Chukua Selfie Brand representative, Eric Achola, said they chose the team since rugby is widely followed by their target audience.

Newly-elected Kenya Rugby Union chairman, Oduor Gangla, lauded the partnership saying it will bring a new image and promote the game at many levels.

“Indeed, we are delighted. This sponsorship is timely and it will enable us meet priority needs for Shujaa as they take on the world this season,” he said.

“We are also aware of the importance of promoting self-testing for both our players and fans. This is why we gladly accepted this partnership.”

Shujaa have been without a sponsor since Brand Kenya exited in December 2018, leaving Bidco Kenya as the sole sponsor.
