Inter Milan are reportedly closing in on a deal for Romelu Lukaku after agreeing to meet the Manchester United forward’s £175,000-a-week wages.
According to reports, incoming Inter boss, Antonio Conte, has identified Lukaku as his priority summer target.
The Italian tactician unsuccessfully attempted to lure the Belgian forward to Chelsea in 2017, with Manchester United signing him from Everton in a massive £75 million deal.
After falling down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Lukaku is now said to be open to a move away for guaranteed game time.
However, United’s asking price of £70 million for the striker is proving to be a major stumbling block, with Inter offering just £50 million for his services.
Lukaku netted 15 goals for the Red Devils in all competitions in the just concluded 2018/19 season.
