NYS trainees lynch two suspects over missing mobile phone

Two casual labourers were lynched by National Youth Service trainees, based at Lambwe Camp in Suba South constituency, on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone belonging to their boss.

The two are said to have been killed by the trainees inside the NYS Camp where they were frog-marched to answer questions regarding the loss of the phone Sunday evening.

They were beaten to death using crude weapons by the NYS trainees at the camp after they failed to get the lost phone from them.

According to the employer of the two, the trainees lynched them without giving them time to explain themselves.

The county security team led by County Commissioner Irungu Macharia and County police Commander Esther Seroney visited the camp where the incident occurred.
