Former commission of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Roselyn Akombe has taken to Twitter to pay tribute to slain IEBC head of ICT Christopher Chege Msando, two years after he was killed.
Akombe, who resigned from IEBC in 2017, just before the repeat presidential election on 26 October citing, among other things, poor leadership and political interference in the affairs of the commission; said she was “eva asking why we killed you”.
Self-declared National Resistance Movement – Kenya General Miguel Miguel, also the lawyer that administered the oath of office for Raila Odinga as the people’s president, also tweeted about Msando’s death.
Msando was killed by unknown people who dumped his body inside a forest in Kiambu County where he was found with his hand cut off. He bore deep cuts on his thigh and had his neck twisted.
His body was found alongside that of a young woman, whose company he is said to have been in from the time he left his office the previous Friday night.
