The Labour and industrial court has stayed the interdiction of TSC teachers for boycotting competency based curriculum (CBC) training and ordered they report to their respective schools without fail tomorrow morning.
The judge ordered that there be no victimization of the said teachers until the case is heard and determined.
Teachers from the larger Kitui County had moved to court under a certificate of urgency claiming the interdictions were unfair, vindictive and improper.
Led KNUT Makueni secretary Joe Mutambu, his vice Secretary Micheal Mbutu and chairman the teachers thanked the union and legal team from Kitui County that is representing them.
The teachers and the leaders later visited KNUT headquarters and met KNUT boss Wilson Sossion and national treasurer John Matiang’i.
Sossion said the orders will be served to TSC headquarters, county and subcounty offices across the country.
John Matiang’i told the teachers to report to their schools immediately by the strength of the orders.
Micheal Mbutu, assistant executive secretary for Mwingi, who had been interdicted told the teachers who had accompanied him from Makueni, Mwingi and Kibwezi to remain strong and United in the union.
