Kahata to earn KSh400,000 monthly after signing with Tanzania’s Simba SC

Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata has signed a two-year contract with Tanzania glamour club Simba Sports club.

The former Thika United and Albanian club FK Tirana midfielder is set to pocket KSh4 million signing bonus alongside a KSh400, 000 monthly salary.

Simba have expressed confidence Kahata will deliver for the club as they target to retain the Tanzanian Mainland League title. The club recently invaded their arch-rival Yanga FC by capturing the signature of their top goalkeeper Beno Kakolanya, thus straining the two teams’ rivalry beyond repair.

He was unveiled by the club upon arrival from Egypt where he was featuring for Harambee Stars in the on-going Africa Cup of Nation tournament.

He’s been on Simba’s radar ever since he impressed during the 2018 SportPesa Cup staged in Nakuru.

The left-footed player is expected to compete for a place in Simba’s midfield alongside Zambian sensations Cletous ‘Triple C’ Chama.

He will also team up with his former team mate Meddie Kagere, who extended his stay with the club last month. The club has also signed two Brazil-born players to beef up the squad.

They have also renewed contracts to top goalkeeper Aish Manula and defender Erasto Nyoni.
