Uganda Ambassador Robbie Kakonge says her country and East Africa as a region are ready and actively engaging with investors who are willing to invest in ICT and agribusiness as key avenues for expanding opportunities for job creation and socio-economic development.

Speaking during the conclusion of the 19th East African Business Network conference in Texas, Kakonge invited East African diaspora and their business partners to take the incentives being offered by Uganda and other East African states to reap the benefits of the technology boom.
“If you are looking for opportunities to invest then reach out to me and we will plan a delegation down to Uganda and get started immediately,” said Kakonge as curtains came down on the three-day EABN convention that brought business and government leaders from seven East African countries and the United States.
“Uganda is ready and actively looking to attract investments and I know our sister countries are also open to these ideas so please take advantage so that you can be part of developing our motherland.”
